Outstanding Scientific Materials Manager Award for 1995

Every year members who have done an outstanding job as perceived by their supervisors may be nominated for this award. Congratulations to Heather Hall, this years' outstanding manager. Among her achievements this year, Heather changed the inventory control program and installed a chemical bar-code tracking system in the stockroom. This pilot program was abandoned by the Environmental Health and Safety Office on campus. The chemistry stockroom was given all the equipment and Heather put it to good use thus reducing waste and also tracking peroxide formers and other potentially hazardous compounds.
