Please note the Underground Seattle is NOT wheelchair accessible or amenable to those who have difficulty walking. The tour will take about 80-90 minutes of leisurely walking and covers about five blocks and six flights of stairs, although only one flight at a time. However, Pioneer Square is a relaxing and comfortable location to wait for the group. Two hours have been scheduled for this sight.
We leave Pioneer Square to have a picnic lunch at the Gas Works Park on Lake Union, featuring an excellent view of the Seattle skyline.
After lunch, we head to the Boeing Museum of Flight with over 50 aircraft dating from the dawn of aviation to the space age. The glass and steel Great Gallery, the "Red Barn" the birthplace of Boeing, and many hands-one displays showcase the rise of this industry.
We will be returning to the hotel about 4:00 pm. Arrangements can be made for those who must leave the tour early or need transportation to the airport.
