If it turns out to be an average July, you can expect 80’s during the day, and high 50’s at night. Interesting places to walk by the Spokane River are right outside the door, including a bridge over the river which is occasionally shut down when the river is too high.  Called Riverfront Park, 100 acres in size, this park has paths on both sides of the river and a century old Clock tower, which is a Spokane landmark.  The beautiful Manito Park and the Finch Arboretum are also nearby.

If you visit visitspokane.com, you can download a visitor’s guide, and learn about the many fun things to do in the area.  Spokane is close to the great outdoors, and hiking, biking, camping, and beautiful lakes are not far away.   If you can extend your stay, consider going camping in western Montana, the northern Idaho Panhandle, many places in Washington State, and see some of the most awesome country in the world.

A major boom town in the early 1900’s, a town that had street lights before San Francisco did, Spokane has an interesting history, and is now a 420 friendly city.  Welcome to the free thinking independent West!  Welcome to Spokane.
