EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 31, 2025

Regular Pricing begins June 1, 2025

Types of Registration:

  • Regular & Associate Members who stay at the conference hotel and reserve their room within the NAOSMM room block by June 26th  ($490 early bird / $540 regular) and Lifetime Members (within room block) ($395 early bird / $445 regular) registration entitles members to attend lectures, receptions, breaks, and vendor-sponsored events. The Thursday Awards banquet is included in both Regular and Associate member registration. You will be prompted to add companions/non-members to your registration before completing your Initial Registration.

 

  • Companions (within the room block) Age 12 years and up ($395 early bird / $445 regular), Youth Companion (within the room block) Age 6 - 11 ($195 early bird / $245 regular), and Child Companion (within the room block) Age 5 and younger (Free). All Companions must have a paid registration if they wish to attend lectures, meals (including receptions), breaks and vendor-sponsored events. Companions are family/friends of a registered NAOSMM member and are not eligible for Regular or Associate NAOSMM membership. Please do not bring children under the age of 12 into the sessions.

 

  • Non-Members (within the room block) ($615 early bird / $665 Regular) may register by contacting NAOSMM treasurer at treasurer@naosmm.org.

 

  • Additions: Lifetime members, Non-members, registered and unregistered companions may purchase tickets to attend the Thursday banquet and/or tours.

 

  • NEW: Attendees who have not booked a room through the conference hotel room block by June 26th will be reinvoiced and incur a $200 fee. 

Deadlines for Registration Payment:

 

  • Early Bird Registration Deadline: May 31, 2025.
  • Regular Registration Deadline: June 26, 2025.
  • Late Payment Fee: Payments received after July 6, 2025, will incur a $50 late payment fee.

 

Do not delay to register! Payment may be deferred until July 6th to accommodate your budget cycle. Please mark the expected payment date in the space on your registration.

 

Note:

  • Registrants receive a nametag, which serves as an entry ticket for events in their registration category.

Thursday Awards Banquet (note: Banquet meal is included in Regular and Associate Member registration fee)

  • Roasted Chicken Breast  with Rosemary Demi

  • Chesapeake Crab Cake with White Truffle Essence

  • Pan-Seared Gnocchi, Seasonal Vegetables, Black Kale, Pomace Olive Oil and Shaved Pecorino

  • Braised Short Ribs with Sherry Demi

 

Entrées include a Fresh Bread, Butter, Mediterranean Salad, Broccolini, Wild Rice Pilaf, and New York Cheesecake. Beverages include Water, Iced Tea & Coffee Service. A Cash Bar is available.


Annual Business Meeting Luncheon (note: This meal is only available for NAOSMM members)

Entrée options: 

  • Roast Beef, Provolone. Lettuce, Garlic Aioli
  • Grilled Vegetable Medley, Mixed Greens, Feta, Balsamic Dressing On Pita
  • Hickory Smoked, Honey Turkey, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Basil Mayo

 Lunch includes an Individual Bag of Kettle Chips, Chef's Selection Side Item, Individually Wrapped Cookie or Brownie, and Bottled Water


Dress Code:

  • It is recommended you wear Business Casual or Smart Casual attire at all sessions and Trade Show.
  • We recommend Business/Informal or Semi-Formal for the Thursday Awards Banquet.

WC Environmental: How To Be A More Effective Chemical Hygiene Officer

Presented by: Russ Phifer, WC Environmental, LLC

The How To Be A More Effective Chemical Hygiene Officer Workshop is designed to provide participants with a detailed analysis of the CHO position and as preparation for the “CHO” Certification exam. Participants receive a clear perspective on safety issues in the laboratory, focusing on what the CHO does and how to do it better. OSHA, EPA & DOT regulations that impact laboratory operations are included in the discussion.

The workshop covers the content areas of the NRCC certification exam, including a sample test in the same format as the real one. Whether you are a new Chemical Hygiene Officer or an “old” one, you will find something to put to real use in this fast-paced presentation. There is extensive opportunity for questions during the workshop and with follow-up by phone and email. A course notebook will be provided.

Cost: $150.00

THE COURSE WILL ONLY BE OFFERED IF 4 OR MORE ATTENDEES REGISTER FOR THE COURSE BY JULY 10. 

NOTE:

Russ Phifer is willing to procter the CHO Exam for those interested.  Please note your interest during the pre-conference registration process. If you are interested in the CHO exam only please contact the Executive Board. All questions regarding registration for the Pre-conference course should be directed to the Executive Board, executive_board@naosmm.org

 


Tour Information:

Sunday Tour: RVA Historic Trolley Tour (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) 

Pick-up for the Sunday tour is our hotel. Attendees will meet in the lobby at 1:30 pm to load the Trolleys at 1:45 pm. Our motorcoach will return us to our hotel at 4:00 pm.

Whether you were raised in Richmond, are visiting or just passing through, you will travel through a rich narrative of 400 years of history in one of the most fascinating and oldest cities in America. See the sights and learn about Richmond’s landmarks, riverfront, architecture and history.  

Sunday Tour Pricing: $40                                                                                                                                   

The Sunday Tour is limited to 50 people. We plan on filling two trolleys, so book your tour during the registration process to make sure you have a seat!  

 

Friday Tour: The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) STEM Building and The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) with Scavenger Hunt (9:30 am - 5:00 pm)                                                                                  

Pick-up for the Friday tour is our hotel. Attendees will meet in the lobby at 9:15 am to depart at 9:30 am. Our motorcoach will return us to our hotel by 5:00 pm.

Our Friday Tour beings with a 1 hour tour of the VCU STEM building, VCU's new $121 million 169,000-square-foot, six-floor building dedicated to STEM on the Monroe Park Campus. The STEM building expands teaching lab space for the introductory natural and social science disciplines while encouraging the exploration of new teaching methods. The STEM building provides resources for anthropology, biology, chemistry, forensic science, kinesiology and health sciences, mathematics and applied mathematics, physics, psychology and the interdisciplinary science program students. It delivers an innovative sciences curriculum seamlessly integrated with research.  

Lunch On Your Own near the Virginia Musuem of Fine Arts.  We have blocked 2 hours for lunch.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, Virginia, is one of the largest comprehensive art museums in the United States, offering free general admission and housing a diverse collection spanning 6,000 years of world art.  VMFA boasts a vast collection encompassing nearly 50,000 works of art from various cultures and periods, including significant holdings of FabergéArt NouveauAmerican art, and European masters.  The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond offers scavenger hunts, which are fun and challenging ways to explore the permanent galleries. These fun and challanging hunts also include a prizes for the winning team as well as consolation prizes for everyone who takes part.

Friday Tour Pricing: $50
